Bio
Shining Success Advocacy is founded by Marisa Faass who has a deep seated passion for the world of education and seeing all students succeed. She received her Bachelor's in Education from Bowling Green State University in 2022 which earned her a license to teach pre-k through 3rd grade, both general and special education, in the state of Ohio. She went on to complete her Masters in Special Education with a primary focus on Autism Spectrum Disorders also from BGSU on 2024. She has three years of licensed teaching experience and roughly 7 years of total work in child care and education. Her passion for helping students succeed is unmatched and her ability to connect with both parents and students is one of her greatest strengths. She founded Shining success to provide support, light, love, and success to families struggling to navigate the world of special education.

Our founder holds a Master's in Special Education, specializing in providing support to students with diverse learning needs. This Master's focused specifically on students with Autism Spectrum Disorders but provided tools to help students with all needs succeed.
Teaching Certifications
2022 - Present
In addition to the Master's in Special Education, our founder has three active teaching licenses. She is certified to teach Pre-K through 3rd grade, both general and special education, in the state of Ohio, as well as holding a license for birth through Kindergarten in the state of Michigan. Currently, she teaches at Autism Model School in Toledo, Ohio, as a high school intervention specialist.
